The Little Bear is a beautifully crafted glamping den tucked beneath a canopy of trees in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Sheltered, secluded and decorated with care, this is the ultimate under the stars stay – where dusk brings a breathtaking display of twinkling dark skies and the only thing on your agenda is doing absolutely nothing.
This serene little hideaway is built for slowing down. Spend your evenings on the private deck watching the sun melt below the horizon, then stay out a little longer as the stars emerge overhead. The Little Bear’s secluded position away from light pollution makes it a truly special stargazing getaway – wrap up, look up and let the night sky do the rest.
Inside you’ll find bespoke rustic furniture, a wonderfully comfortable bed and soft, thoughtful touches throughout. Mornings here are made for lazing – with nothing but birdsong to gently rouse you. Dining ware, cutlery, kettle, toaster, mini fridge, teas, coffees, hot chocolate and milk are all provided.
The private decked area comes with a gas-fired BBQ, perfectly positioned beneath the tree canopy so you can dine outside whatever the weather. Cook, eat and linger long into the evening with nothing but nature around you.
A short stroll away you’ll find two beautiful bathrooms, both furnished with fluffy towels, slippers and power showers – a refreshing treat after a night sleeping under the stars.
Aptly named, the Solis Terrace catches the sunshine from morning through to evening, making it the perfect spot for a slow breakfast with a cup of tea in hand. As the day winds down it transforms into one of the finest sunset viewing spots on the site – and once darkness falls, it becomes your own private stargazing terrace.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Little Bear, it was cosy with little extras such as a small fridge, heated blankets on the bed, a small heater and extra blankets which we used when watching the sun go down and the stars on the terrace. We were very lucky it was a clear night – absolutely beautiful. We were very comfortable whilst here and slept well due to how peaceful it is and how comfy the bed was. There were lots of pheasants rabbits and you can hear the owls hooting in the morning. The bathroom is a very short walk with plenty of towels readily available, which is tended to regularly and very clean. Wonderful stay with an excellent host.
We had a lovely time here, it was cosy and warm, spacious and lots of cute touches like hot water bottles and blankets, fresh water and everything you could need is there. The bathroom is a short walk and is lovely. We went to Louth on the evening which was easy to get to by car and took a day trip to Skegness in the day which was around 30 mins away. Perfect stay, we will definitely be back.
I booked this for my daughter’s 21st birthday, for her and her boyfriend. I was unbelievably impressed with the feedback they gave on their return home. Jessica was amazing, contacting me before they arrived and giving my daughter a card and cake for her special birthday – thank you so much! The Little Bear did not disappoint – they found it incredibly inviting and warm, the bed amazingly comfortable. Both said they had the best nights sleep of their life! The terrace was fabulous to see the sunset and stars as they sparkled so brightly – just the perfect setting (so much so we are rebooking!) Definitely 100% recommend!!
