Our name originated due to our peaceful, countryside location with no near light pollution. By night this is the place to enjoy the exceptionally starry dark skies, with far reaching views across the lush, green Lincolnshire Wolds (AONB). Sink into the lavish egg chairs by the fire and toast marshmallows with loved ones. You may even be blessed with a shooting star or two. The grounds here are filled with wildlife - with an abundance of rabbits, squirrels, badgers, pheasants, owls, muntjac deer and even the odd fox. Our countryside location sits opposite Stewton's Norman Church at the end of a very quiet lane, making this the perfect place to switch off and relax.

We spent the weekend here for my birthday, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The Hobbit Hut was amazing, dressed beautifully and a really cosy hub for us all. We arrived late so it was dark when we got there. The short walk from the car park to our house was lit with lanterns which sparkled in the night light and made it feel like a fairy tale. The house was warm and cosy and fairy lights added that magical touch. The furnishings had no expense spared – lots of snuggly blankets, cushions and even electric blankets on the bed. The short walk to the bathrooms is lit with lights and each bathroom is finished to a really high standard, with an abundance of towels and toiletries provided. The stargazing area is super cute with a fire pit and comfy chairs for you to relax and watch the sky float by. If you’re looking for a place where you can completely switch off from the world in luxury then I could not recommend this place enough. Jessica is the perfect host. friendly, full of local knowledge and could not do enough to help. We will definitely be returning.
We had the best experience. The Little Bear cabin was absolutely immaculate, cosy and warm. We didn’t want for anything. The little touches like wine, beer and cookies were not expected but very much appreciated. The bathrooms are warm and again immaculately clean with fresh towels constantly replaced. The surroundings are beautiful too, set in woodland with wildlife it’s so peaceful. We enjoyed a sunset round the fire pit and it was beautiful. Louth is literally 5 mins away with fabulous cocktail bars and restaurants to enjoy. Jessica and her husband should be very proud of what they have accomplished with this place. We highly recommend to all and we will be back
What a fantastic hidden gem this is! The only word to describe this place is MAGICAL! The short walk to the bathrooms feels like you’re walking through an enchanted forest. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, steeped in nature, surrounded only by trees and chirping birds, this is the place for you. Lyra is absolutely fabulous, both the firepit inside and indoor log burner create such a lovely and cosy atmosphere. Lots of little touches made our stay extra special. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and bathrooms spotlessly clean at all times. The location is perfect too; despite feeling a thousand miles away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, you’re only 10 mins drive from Louth with SO many food options and also 10 mins from the best walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Definitely 10/10, can’t wait to stay again to experience this gorgeous place in a different season!
